Owners
can register all Kerry cattle free of charge. It is urgent that
all purebred cattle are recorded in this country. We have had a
bad experience with foreign registrations. If they are also
recorded in Ireland or Canada that's ok too but that is not necessary
to register them in the US with The American Kerry Cattle
Association. Many Kerry cattle were not registered because
of the strict requirements in Ireland. Those purebred
unregistered cattle will be grandfathered in for a short time.
Percentage animals can also be registered but that

American Kerry Cattle Association was formed as the FIRST association supporting the Kerry breed in many decades. We are the ONLY association in the US offering complete registration of Kerry cattle. All services are FREE OF CHARGE to kerry owners. This association was started after some kerry owners planned for an association for many years without success. We understand that those owners have now finally started an association with a similar name. We'd rather there be two associations than none as there has been for many years.
